Editorial verdict
Use case and fit
This is editorial guidance, not vendor copy.
Finding candidate websites that share a public source-code string, then reviewing the captured context before making a technology or relationship claim.
Submitted for editorial consideration; independently desk-reviewed by OSINT4ALL. Official-source review on 2026-10-22, not hands-on testing or an independent implementation audit. Current options include a limited free search, prepaid usage and subscriptions. Exports have separate row allowances and charges; sampled export rows may need verification. The original submission's blanket no-subscription claim is outdated.
Best for finding candidate websites that share a public source-code string, then reviewing the captured context before making a technology or relationship claim.
Operational snapshot
Workflow, access, and coverage
Choose a narrowly justified public string; record the query and index date; inspect surrounding source; check a candidate's current page; seek independent relationship evidence; retain only the minimum relevant observations.
The reviewed documentation is English. Literal or regex matching depends on the stored spelling, encoding and script; absence of an English term does not establish absence of the subject.
Limits
Strengths, caveats, and risk
Captured source context and export options let an analyst document which query produced a candidate and separate the string match from the interpretation.
The self-service index covers one homepage per hostname, including subdomains, rather than every page. A quarterly rebuild schedule leaves timing and coverage gaps.
Distinguish estimated counts, prefilter candidates and engine-checked matches. Historical totals may use different snapshots. Even an exact stored-string match does not prove execution, active installation, ownership or a security vulnerability.
The privacy policy describes query activity used for billing and abuse prevention, technical logs and account records. Avoid putting confidential case terms in queries; publicly indexed source can still contain personal or sensitive information.
Respect the service terms, lawful research scope and restrictions on reusing captured pages. A shared analytics ID may reflect a template, agency or third-party script, not common control.
Provider documentation supports the described scope, not a guarantee of accuracy, safety or completeness. Pending Verification; no account, install, upload or sensitive lookup was used for this review.
