Review Methodology

Methodology

How OSINT4ALL reviews tools and separates editorial judgment from commercial context.

Fit Limits Verification

Workflow fit

We look at the investigative job the tool supports, the user type it helps, and where it belongs in a real process.

Verification burden

The page should make clear what a tool can suggest, what it cannot prove, and what needs corroboration.

Commercial separation

Sponsorship, affiliate status, and vendor preference do not decide search ranking, comparison placement, or verdict framing.

OSINT4ALL reviews tools through an editorial process designed to prioritize usefulness, transparency, and practical verification.

What we assess

  • What investigative job the tool supports.
  • Who it is useful for and where it fits in a workflow.
  • What access, pricing, data freshness, privacy, or legal caveats matter.
  • What the output can suggest and what it cannot prove alone.

What we do not do

We do not rank tools based on sponsorship, affiliate status, vendor preference, or marketing pressure. Commercial context is disclosed, but it does not decide search ranking, comparison placement, or editorial verdicts.

Depth labels matter

Listings may begin as moderated submissions, but promotion into public tool profiles requires editorial review. Where a tool has not yet been tested deeply, the site should make that clear rather than pretending certainty.
