Several comparison views help separate a small changed region from an otherwise similar image; retaining both source files makes the comparison easier to revisit.
Normalization, resizing, compression, rendering changes and alignment can produce differences unrelated to deception. A highlighted region still requires a human explanation.
Similarity percentages and heatmaps are not calibrated probabilities of authenticity. Differences cannot establish who changed an image, when it changed, whether an underlying statement is true, or whether a payment arrived.
The provider describes browser-local image processing, while supporting resources and analytics can make network requests. No network or implementation audit was performed. Avoid confidential images until processing is acceptable for the task. If you choose cross-tool image sharing, a copy can persist in browser session storage; the documented one-hour age check is not a scheduled deletion timer.
